ESPN reporter Samantha Steele and Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder wed inside a Wisconsin courtroom Monday, E! News confirms. Court Commissioner Stephen Dunlap officiated the private wedding held at the St. Croix County Court.
The good-looking couple walked down the aisle just two weeks after they confirmed their engagement, after a very short time dating (cheers to love at first sight!).
Steele took to Twitter today to address criticism over the newlywed's speedy nuptials and to thank for fans for the well-wishes:
"Twitter is so tricky. Who knew that 'she's pregnant' & 'they'll be divorced soon' are just the 2012 version of "congrats"! Thx guys! :)" the sportscaster wrote.
The NFL athlete reportedly popped the question with Christmas lights that read "Marry Me" and one massive engagement ring to seal the deal.
