TV's Naughty List: 5 Small-Screen Offenders That Deserve a Lump of Coal This Holiday Season

Homeland's hit-and-run plot, Scandal's scheming vice president and more made this year's top boob-tube blunders

Santa's not the only one making a list and checking it twice.

In honor of the holiday season, we've compiled TV's 2012 Naughty List, which encompasses performers, characters and storylines that have us crying "Bah, humbug." See if you agree with our five picks.

1. Christina Aguilera, The Voice: First, she prematurely cut De'Borah, one of the more promising members of her season-three team. Then Xtina proceeded to upstage her remaining hopefuls with a series of increasingly Xcessive looks (pink afro, crown and thigh-high boots? Check!) that played up her ample cleavage. Put those genies back in the bottle already!

2. Vice President Sally Langston, Scandal : Nobody's hands are completely clean on ABC's morally murky drama—not even da Pope's (Kerry Washington). But while other characters' questionable decisions are driven by a desire to protect those they care about, Sally Langston (Kate Burton) is only out to help herself. She's already found a way to be sworn in as president while Fitz lingers in a coma and tried to blackmail a cancer-stricken Supreme Court justice into giving up her seat on the bench. We shudder to think of what this politician will elect to do next.

3. The Kalinda's-Husband Subplot, The Good Wife: This storyline had the potential to finally shed some light on the enigmatic PI's past. Instead, the arrival of ex-con hubby Nick took her to ever-darker places—violence! abusive threats!—and still managed to bore us silly. Tough-cookie Kalinda—and Emmy-winner Archie Panjabi—deserves so much better.

4. Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan's "Comebacks": The Hollywood headline-grabbers—and Scary Movie 5 costars—both attempted to resuscitate damaged careers with TV projects in 2012. The problem? After curiosity fueled a big premiere tune-in, no one cared about Sheen's Anger Management, and the only thing the wretched Liz & Dick proved Taylor-made for was making Lohan the butt of more jokes.  

5. Dana and Finn's Hit-and-Run on Homeland: While out on a romantic joyride, Brody's daughter (Morgan Saylor) and the Veep's son (Timothee Chalamet) accidentally plowed down a pedestrian and then fled the scene. With a melodramatic twist like that, is it any wonder Dana spent most of season two in a sullen funk?
