Who says fashion isn't a team sport? Everybody? Well, then, this season of Project Runway is going to be verrry interesting indeed.

Season 11 (premiering Thursday, Jan. 24) is kicking the old formula to the curb by putting the 16 designers into teams of two—a twist that the contestants are not aware of until the premiere, which as you can imagine sends them into a panic spiral.

The new season will feature guest judges from film, television, fashion and music, including Bette Midler, Susan Sarandon, Miranda Lambert, John Legend, Joan and Melissa Rivers, Emmy Rossum, Project Runway winner Christian Siriano and more.

Host and judge Heidi Klum, Marie Claire's fashion director, Nina Garcia, and fashion designer Zac Posen as featured judge will oversee the duos as they compete in team challenges, meaning they have to work together for every challenge while still making their own garment stand out on the runway. We can already hear the hissy fits that are about to go down.

Tim Gunn will return as mentor to the designers as they fight to make it all the way to New York fashion week, where Michael Kors will serve as the final guest judge.

What do you think about the new team twist?
