Gucci has come a long way from its start as a leather goods company back in the early 1900s. And while the Italian label can still stitch one of the fiercest leather handbags in the world, celebs have also relied on Gucci to make gorgeous red carpet gowns for years.
In fact, Amy Adams and a handful of other leading ladies turned up almost exclusively in the designer label's glamorous dresses at the LACMA 2012 Art + Film Gala back in October. We saw more than one star show off the Italian fashion house's spring 2013 collection, which featured brilliantly bold chartreuse dresses, like Adams' strapless number, as well eye-catching embellishments and unapologetically feminine ruffles.
The latter detail also popped up in the frilly floral wrap dress from the fashion house's fall 2013 collection that Jessica Biel donned for Variety's 4th Annual Power of Women event. But the brand can create sexy mini-dresses just as well as it can girly gowns. Anyone in doubt need only refer to Gucci spokesperson Blake Lively, who stunned in a form-flaunting burgundy cocktail dress with a plunging neckline at the Italian label's launch of its Premiere fragrance. Check out Adams, Biel, Lively and other gals who go glam in Gucci.
