Another day. Another destiny. Another accolade for Les Misérables.

Tom Hooper's big-screen adaptation of the hit stage musical continues to build critical steam, snagging 10 nominations for the International Press Academy's Satellite Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Hugh Jackman and Best Supporting Actress for Anne Hathaway.

While Les Misérables failed to get any critical respect at Monday's New York Film Critics Circle Awards, the movie quickly bounced back with today's unveiling of the Satellites.

It faces some stiff competition, however, in the Motion Picture category as it's competing against Lincoln, which took home eight nominations (including Best Director for Steven Spielberg); Silver Linings Playbook and The Master, which garnered seven nods apiece; ArgoBeasts of the Southern Wild, Skyfall, Moonrise Kingdom, The SessionsLife of Pi and Zero Dark Thirty.

While he's being hailed for the performance of his career as Jean Valjean, Jackman will also have his work cut out for him as he'll be facing off against Daniel Day-Lewis in Lincoln. Other notable Best Actor nominees include Bradley Cooper for Silver Linings, Denzel Washington for Flight, Joaquin Phoenix for The Master, John Hawkes for The Sessions and Omar Sy for The Intouchables

Other actors vying for prizes include Les Misérables' Eddie Redmayne, Emmanuelle Riva for Amour, Laura Linney for Hyde Park on Hudson, Jessica Chastain for Zero Dark Thirty, John Hawkes for The Sessions, Tommy Lee Jones for Lincoln and Robert De Niro for Silver Linings.

The Satellite Awards, which span 31 film and TV categories, will be announced at a ceremony on Dec. 16 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Century City, Calif.
