"Heart Like Mine" singer Miranda Lambert's heart just keeps breaking.
On the heels of her father-in-law (Blake Shelton's dad, Dick) passing away and the death of a childhood pal, the country music sensation has learned that one of her four-legged friends is gone.
"My best friend, father in law and now my dog Dixie. My dog died thursday," Lambert tweeted a few hours ago. "My parents just told me. Headed now to bury my best friend of 20 years."
But despite all the tragedy that has befallen Lambert in recent weeks, the songstress is clearly trying to remain positive.
"I hope what they say is right," she later tweeted. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."
Fortunately, Lambert has the support of her fans, who have been offering up their condolences.
"Thanks for the prayers," she wrote in response to all the well wishes.
Lambert is still scheduled to perform "America the Beautiful" with Shelton prior to Sunday's Super Bowl.
