Who will play the new Spider-Man in the upcoming reboot of the web-slinging movie franchise?

There's no answer to that just yet, but Journey to the Center of the Earth star Josh Hutcherson is reportedly on the shortlist for the role. However, the 17-year-old actor insists…

He doesn't know anything about it. "I have no idea, honestly," Hutcherson said when we asked about the latest Spidey report at last night's Los Angeles Film Festival opening night premiere of his new movie The Kids Are All Right. "I think it would be a really cool project to be a part of, obviously—it's Spider-Man!—but we'll have to wait and see."

The upcoming Spider-Man flick will center around Peter Parker's high school days.

Hutcherson admits he was never an avid reader of the comic book series.

"I kind of grew up watching the movies," he said. "The first one came out when I was like nine years old."

The casting shortlist also includes, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Jamie Bell, Andrew Garfield, Alden Ehrenreich and Frank Dillane.
