Say what you will about Angelina Jolie, but she's one big-hearted star that does much more than just talk the talk.

As part of her ongoing duties as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, the actress touched down in Lago Agrio, Ecuador, yesterday, where she continued to go above and beyond in her quest to bring awareness to the plight of refugees, visiting remote villages and shelters for children and women who have been victims of domestic and sexual violence.

The trip to Ecuador was the second for the World Refugee Day-honoring actress, who previously traveled to the region eight years ago.

"I wanted to come back and meet with vulnerable people and focus on violence against women and their unaccompanied minors," she said. "I am so happy to be able to reconnect with some familiar faces, refugees I had met with during my 2002 trip."

No doubt the feeling is mutual.
