Talk about hitting a high note!

Fox's irresistible hit Glee, ABC's Modern Family and CBS' The Late Show With Craig Ferguson lead the list of winners at the 69th Peabody Awards, considered the most prestigious television honors.

The accolade is just the latest for Glee, which has become one of the tube's biggest phenoms since its debut last fall and adding to a Golden Globe for Best TV Series (Musical or Comedy) and a Screen Actors Guild trophy for Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

HBO continued to live up to its rep for critic-friendly fare with a trifecta of shows getting Peabody props. In Treatment, starring Gabriel Byrne as a psychotherapist seeking his own inner peace, and The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, Jill Scott as a private eye in Botswana, made the cut along with the documentary Thrilla in Manila, a chronicle of Muhammad Ali-Joe Frazier's legendary showdown.

Per usual, news shows were also well-represented: PBS Frontline won for The Madoff Affair; ABC News was singled out for A Hidden America: Children of the Mountains; and a 60 Minutes segment titled Sabotaging the System about cyber-threats to America's infrastructure also made the cut.
