The 2019 Golden Globe Awards came and went, and they sure were filled with plenty of great moments.

From Lady Gaga speaking out about being a woman in music and Regina King's powerful speech about gender parity to fake proposals and name mispronunciations, a lot happened on TV that warranted some big discussions.

Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh hosted the show and began their monologue with some epic roasts of fellow actors, including Emma Stone who told the Killing Eve star she was "sorry" about her role in the film Aloha. Even better, Oh's dad was the proudest father and gave her a standing ovation when she won a Golden Globe.

It was a talent-packed field this year with movies like A Star Is Born starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper going up against Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan in Black Panther in the Best Motion Picture-Drama category. It's just as stacked in all of the other movie and television categories.

The fun stuff didn't just happen inside the ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. A lot went down on the red carpet, too. In case you were wondering what happened when the camera's weren't rolling, E! News has got you covered.

Before the show, the red carpet festivities were ramping up in full gear. The stars all looked fabulous on the red carpet, which was the perfect time for celebs to take selfies with their friends. Ricky Martin tried taking a picture and asked, "What am I supposed to do?" while trying to frame his shot.

Lady Gaga arrived at the awards show looking like an elegant vision in lavender. Her dress was Couture Valentino and she was dripping in over 100 carats of Tiffany & Co. diamonds. Her fiancé Christian Carino walked in a few steps behind her and had two people holding her train. She was surrounded by bodyguards and a number of publicists.

Jim Carrey and his girlfriend Ginger Gonzaga just became red carpet official and were seen walking into the ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel holding hands.

Fiji is helping keep celebrities stay hydrated on the red carpet and have people holding up platters filled with water bottles. Fiji Water Girl became a full-fledged Internet celebrity within minutes after she photobombed a number of celebrities, including Carrey, Amy Adams and award winner Richard Madden.

Joe Alwyn, star of The Favourite, looked dashing on the red carpet in a black tuxedo. His girlfriend Taylor Swift arrived at the show later on in the evening and came in through backstage. The "Delicate" singer was surrounded by bodyguards during her swift entrance. Apparently, her security detail nearly plowed over The Americans co-stars and spouses Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys

If that wasn't enough, she then surprised everyone by presenting Best Original Score and Best Song alongside Idris Elba! She looked totally elated to hand Gaga the award for the song "Shallow." We all saw that on TV, but it couldn't not be mentioned. By the end of the show, she still had not joined Alwyn at his table.

Rami Malek sat next to Queen guitarist Brian May at his table at the globes. Malek played the band's singer Freddie Mercury in the hit movie Bohemian Rhapsody. When he wasn't chatting with musicians, he was seen wandering around with his hands in his pockets looking a bit lost. Charlize Theron caught sight of the Mr. Robot actor and then they talked excitedly for a few moments. Later on, he was rushing up the steps and nearly face-planted, but caught himself before he fell.

Fellow funnymen Dax Shepard and Jason Bateman were enjoying each other's presence and having a very lively discussion.  The Alienist star Dakota Fanning then approached Shepard and told him she was a huge fan of his podcast Armchair Expert. Later on in the evening, Shepard and Barry star Henry Winkler hugged and Shepard was gushing about being a fan of the actor.

At another moment in the show, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan had a private conversation with Daniel Craig and he was gushing to her and she loved every minute.

It turns out that the line for the women's bathroom was pretty long (can you imagine trying to get in and out of some of these dresses?!), and Laura Dern helped the time fly by taking selfies with a friend in line.

Gina Rodriguez and Taraji P. Henson were spotted running through a hallway with a bottle of Moet & Chandon champagne and were blowing kisses at someone else walking behind them.

The Devil Wears Prada co-stars Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt shared a hug after the Mary Poppins Returns star was congratulated by multiple women in the bathroom line.

Former Shameless star Emmy Rossum stopped by Patricia Arquette's table, who had won an award earlier in the night for her role in Ben Stiller's Escape at Dannemora. Julia Roberts joined the group and stood next to Rossum's husband Sam Esmail, who created the show Homecoming, which Roberts stars in.

Bachelor star Nick Viall stopped by the bar for a quick drink and then was joined by The Bachelorette's JoJo Fletcher, who got herself a cup of coffee.

Irina Shayk and the A Star Is Born star and director shared a laugh together while Gaga's fiancé poured her a big glass of champagne.  After Darren Criss won the globe for his role in American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace, he planted a huge kiss on his fiancée Mia Swier.

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners tonight!
