Thousands of fans, dozens of tour buses, 300 media outlets...That can only mean one thing, DAY 1 of the Pemberton Music Festival has officially kick started today. NIN, Metric, Interpol,Wolfmother and Chromeo are just some of the acts hitting the stage today for this communal rock festival. Metric is the first live act to hit the Mount Currie main stage. Our crew caught up with Jimmy and Emily earlier this afternoon to get the backstage look at what goes on at one of the biggest rock festivals of the summer. Yup, we dashed security and hit the stage hours before to get Metric's POV onstage.

Sure it was a little empty, but for that one moment we got to see what it was like to be Jay-Z or Coldplay. And it's safe to say that the view was well, quite stunning. The crew and the band were revelling over the beautiful landscape that is Pemberton. What a job, eh? What's even more surreal was rockstar alley, where Em and Jimmy showed us all of the artist trailers that were lined up side by side--Makes me wonder if Interpol and NIN would just have neighbourly pow-wows before they hit the stage?

It was clear to us this afternoon, that the buzz amongst all of the artists is the location...Even dance duo Chromeo dished to us about how Canadian rock festivals are always in picturesque locations compared to the muddy playgrounds that they play in Europe. Dave 1 and P-Thugg also shockingly revealed to us that they wouldn't immediately jump at the chance to collaborate with their hero Prince. Crazy, eh? Ok, I've got to jet--Metric is hitting the stage and I think they're calling my name.
