Oh, mama. CBS boss Nina Tassler just took the stage at the TV Critics Press Tour and here are the headlines from that session:

Sarah Chalke will be doing multiple episodes of How I Met Your Mother this fall. Is she the mother? Nina: "Right now I don't think so." Has it not been decided? Hmmm...

William Petersen will be replaced on CSI by a new outsider who shares a DNA sequence with serial killers and who will work his way up to become a leader of the team. This genetic heritage, which is a secret only he knows, gives him unique insight into the behaviors and instincts of murderers. The role will be played by "an actor of stature." Guesses? Suggestions?

• "The response to Moonlight was more actor-centric." (Perhaps an implication that the passionate fans were passionate for Alex O'Loughlin and not about the show overall?) I have a feeling some of you might want to comment on that below.

Jay Mohr is not here to promote Gary Unmarried because he's getting remarried, renewing his vows to Nikki Cox. Awww...So sweet. Still, I can't help but think he might be avoiding doing press on this show, which, sorry, so isn't my cup of tea.

• When asked about the possible future of Swingtown, Nina said, "I'm a little disappointed in the ratings." Uh-oh. Is that the ax swinging?
