In March 2021, Prince William and Kate Middleton shared on Instagram photos of Mother's Day cards their children Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis, 2, made for their late grandmother, Princess Diana.
"Each year on Mother's Day," the couple captioned their post, "George, Charlotte and Louis make cards remembering their Granny, Diana, for William."
Princess Diana died at age 36 in a car crash in Paris in 1997, when her sons Prince William and Prince Harry were 15 and 12 years old.
George's 2021 Mother's Day card to Diana read, "Dear Granny Diana, Happy Happy mothers day. I love you very much and think of you always, Sending lots of love from George xxxxx.
"Dear Granny Diana, I am thinking of you on Mother's Day. I love you very much," Charlotte wrote on her 2021 Mother's Day card to Diana. "Papa is missing you...lots of love Charlotte."
Prince William and Kate Middleton's youngest child, age 2, made this card for Diana, which read, "from Louis."
