When Emma Watson and Rupert Grint finally had their kiss in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2, you can be sure they weren't about to disappoint fans with a measly peck.

So how do you go about preparing for one of the most anticipated onscreen kisses in movie history? Especially one that has been building up for 10 years?

This behind-the-scenes peek at the moment shows Emma and Rupert had completely different approaches.

As in, Emma had one.

"They're like brother and sister; they were both very nervous," explains director David Yates. "Emma's very smart; she decided if she was going to avoid 27 takes. She was going to get it right the first time. I see that conviction that she's got...This is it.

"[Laughs] Rupert hadn't quite reached that same point. I think Rupert wasn't quite expecting it, and then she just went for it," Yates said.

With a little magic and whole lotta guts, Emma completely dives right into the kiss, clearly catching Rupert by surprise. But the best part? The spontaneous laughter the two erupt into when the moment has passed.

So was the steamy smooch everything you ever dreamed of? Sound off in the comments!
