Yu-Gi-Oh! will make you go ugh! This anime mess masquerades as a big-screen adaptation of the popular card game and TV series, but it's really a 90-minute commercial for more toys (you get four new cards when you attend the movie!). The silly plot involves some hooey about an ancient Egyptian evil guy who has been awakened and wants to take over the world.
But it's all an excuse for that creatively coifed Yugi youngster (speaking in a strangely adult-sounding announcer voice) to engage others in "duels" fought with cards featuring monsters and magic spells. Yes, that's what the TV cartoon is about also, but now you're paying to see this. During lengthy "battles," characters shout stilted dialog pulled from a rule book over the overblown soundtrack. This one's only for the hard-core Yu-Gi-Heads (Oh, and their parents forced to drive them there).
