Off with his head! Martin Lawrence should be severely punished for lazy filmmaking and strolling through this role as a bad boy from the 'hood who gets transported to the world of wizards, warriors and wenches. The fish-out-of-water theme is a bit tired, as the Big Momma star tries to get medieval on yo ass and use his hustling ways to keep a level head, impress a fair maiden and save an impoverished people.
Even the guilty pleasure of watching Lawrence's rubbery antics dries up quicker than a shallow moat in summer. With a little more knight vision, Lawrence could have moved away from typical urban-comedy cracks about welfare, jewelry, basketball and white people's lack of rhythm. But he rarely does. After this hour and a half in the dark ages, you'll want no moor of this star for a while.
