It's love, Italian-style, as director Gabriele Muccino takes a largely rosy and occasionally in-depth look at romance among several handsome and prosperous couples. It ain't much different from the stuff we've seen before: The immature man can't commit; the middle-aged matron decides to leave her long-suffering husband; and the new father can't handle the sudden responsibilities of parenthood.
The crosscutting and complex relationships keep things interesting, but the results are predictable. Luckily, middle-aged matron Stefania Sandrelli offers more amoré than most with a star-making performance. Pucker up!
