Fantastic Beasts Sequel Cast and Characters

At the end of the first film, the Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Depp) was captured, thanks in part to the help of Newt Scamander (Redmayne). But he escaped, and now he is looking for followers to empower pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings. To stop him, Albus Dumbledore (Law) enlists his former student Newt, who's unaware of the dangers ahead.

The film expands the wizarding world, moving from New York to London and Paris.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is being directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling. David Heyman, Steve Kloves, Rowling and Lionel Wigram produced the movie.

Warner Bros. released a new cast photo Thursday in celebration of the title announcement.
