The two were photographed visiting a Starbucks in Newport Beach, California together Thursday. Christina smiled as they made their way through the parking lot and entered the shop. Tarek held the door for her as they entered.
The two bought two drinks—what appeared to be a hot beverage for Christina and an iced coffee or coffee-based Frappuccino for Tarek—and left together. They also gave each other an awkward-looking hug, which she initiated, and then went their separate ways.
Tarek and Christina, parents to 6-year-old daughter Taylor and 15-month-old son Brayden, revealed this week they had split early this year. No divorce papers have been filed.
The news came following a report of police being called to their house last May. Christina had told them Tarek had fled the home with a gun. He was later located and the couple called the incident an "unfortunate misunderstanding."
Despite the split, over the past few months, the two have continued to post photos of the two together on social media to promote Flip or Flop and have also said they will continue working together.
On Thursday, Tarek posted a photo of himself with the couple's daughter on Instagram.
One of the commentators called his ex a "phony," to which he replied, "She's a great person and mom. We have had many many struggles that's all."
