Savannah Guthrie, co-anchor of NBC's Today show, will begin her maternity leave Friday as she prepares to give birth to her second child.

She and husband Michael Feldman are expecting a baby boy, who will be a little brother to their daughter Vale, 2.

"I'm going to go on my maternity leave after tomorrow," Guthrie told co-stars Willie Geist, Al Roker and Carson Daly on the Today show Thursday. "And so all of you who have been saying, 'Please stop...we've seen enough,' there will be no live birth on the Today show. Tomorrow's my last day."

"I can't believe you've made it this far," Daly said. "You've been working so much...my family sees Savannah and is like, 'How much longer is she gonna work?'"

Guthrie had appeared regularly on the Today show throughout her pregnancy, even appearing on the air for hours to cover the recent U.S. presidential election. And she was back on Today the following morning.

"People at home are like, 'We don't want to see your water break,'" Guthrie said. "So I'm gonna take off and hopefully the baby will come soon after that."

The Today show is planning a special send-off for Guthrie on Friday's episode.

The series has celebrated Guthrie's pregnancy several times since she announced it on-air in June.

On Thursday, Hall acknowledged the star's pregnancy cravings in a funny bonus segment.

In September, Guthrie revealed her new baby's sex on-air and Today aired had some fun with the reveal. Before she announced the news, colleagues Daly, Geist, Roker, Hall, Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford guessed the child's sex—and most of them were correct.

In June, after Guthrie announced her pregnancy, the Today show aired an adorable video of her daughter's response to becoming a big sister.

In August, on #BumpDay, the Today show paid tribute to both Guthrie and show meteorologist Dylan Dreyer, who is also pregnant and expecting to give birth to her first baby around the same time as the co-anchor.

Their colleagues also had an early holiday lunch with the two women Tuesday.

"Celebrating early in case @SavannahGuthrie or I pop soon!" Dryer tweeted.
