Who knew these two were high school sweethearts?!
While appearing on Watch What Happens Live Tuesday night, stars Kyra Sedgwick and Matthew Broderick revealed they dated in high school.
During a game of "High School Whoperlatives?" Sedgwick confessed that she used to sneak out of class to smoke in the stairwells—and Broderick would join her! But the real confession came a few minutes later when they both confessed that they "went back and forth for a few years" dating on and off. Both didn't want to admit it at first, but after Sedgwick confessed that they're both "boring" because they've been married for so long (Sedgwick to Kevin Bacon and Broderick to Sarah Jessica Parker) they came clean with their scandalous news!
Despite having a high school romance, Broderick admitted that he knew Sedgwick's mom very well. They also vehemently denied knowing each other "connubially" as host Andy Cohen likes to put it—or shall we say they denied knowing each other intimately.
"Never before I got married!" Sedgwick said.
The Closer star married Bacon in 1988 and have two children together, Travis and Sosie. Broderick and SJP tied the knot in 1997 and have three kids together, James and twins Marion and Tabitha.
Broderick opened up about his marriage to the Sex and the City alum and revealed on the Meredith Vieira Show the secret to his lasting relationship. "We really are friends beyond everything else and we talk a lot," he told Meredith Vieira when sharing his advice to couples. "Keep talking I guess, I know how cliché that is. Too much silence is definitely not a good idea."
He added, "She's really funny, she makes me laugh. That's good. I wish I had a better answer."
