We can all finally rest easy.
It's just a few days before the start of November, all the new fall shows have finally premiered, and you can almost hear the collective sighs of relief across the land. Finally—FINALLY—we can lay down our official judgment on which fall show was the best fall show, and which ones deserve to stay behind in the garbage fire that has been 2016.
This week, we met a lot of men. Some of them had plans. Some of those plans were derailed by the ragtag band of young people around them. All of their plans either hinged on or were foiled by the marvels of modern technology. It was a fun week for those men!
Anyway, here's what premiered this week:
On Monday, CBS brought us Man with a Plan. Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc) came back to TV as a dad named Adam who was grappling with actually having to be a dad when his wife (the admittedly delightful Liza Snyder) went back to work. In LeBlanc's own words, "[I] fairly quickly realize it's not for me and I don't like it at all." Cool!
Then on Thursday, CBS doled out the last of its new programming with The Great Indoors, which is a show about a grown man who refuses to accept the passage of time and its natural effect on human beings. The official description actually has more to do with former Community hero Joel McHale playing a journalist forced to work in an office with kids with phones for hands, but you get it.
CBS' last new show was Pure Genius, which is about a techno-genius billionaire (Augustus Prew) who teams up with a surgeon (Dermot Mulroney) to save people's lives with non-insulting state-of-the-art technology. Just the new take on a medical drama you've been waiting for!
Now that you're all caught up, it's time to vote! Weigh in below on not only these three new shows, but also all the shows that have premiered on network TV this fall. You don't even have to be registered, and your vote counts no matter what state you live in!
