YouTubeFor Stevie Wonder, it's simply a labor of love to sing for Hillary Clinton on her birthday.
The legendary musician met up with the Democratic presidential candidate during an interview on The Breakfast Club.
After the White House hopeful discussed her inspiration, opponent, health and called for a national dance party, the Grammy winner stopped by to offer a special treat to Clinton on her 69th birthday—wearing a "first female prez" custom jacket, no less.
"I'm really excited to be here," he told her. "[I'm] excited to support someone that I've had such love and respect for for years, so it's very exciting and I think that, truth be told, as men we have had our chance to work it out. It's time to let a woman do it. "
Needless to say, Wonder's vote for Clinton is signed, sealed, delivered.
To get the icon to sing, the hosts jokingly offered $40, but Wonder told them to keep their money and launched into his 1980 track, "Happy Birthday," with an improvised ending.
"Go out and vote," he crooned. Clinton was all smiles as she applauded the star.
Wonder is not the only musical star to throw his support behind the former senator.
"I'm definitely not going to vote for [Donald] Trump," Oscar-winning rapper Common told E! News. "There's something that's caring about so many women and I think that type of leadership and hopefully compassion will be there with Hillary Clinton."
According to NBC News, the politician has two events in Florida scheduled for today before heading back to New York for a mystery birthday celebration. However, Wonder's serenade was not the only one Clinton has enjoyed so far this week.
On Tuesday, a Florida crowd sang the classic tune to her a day early. She replied by calling the third and final presidential debate against Donald Trump "an early birthday present."
