Nostalgia alert!

TRL is coming back to MTV...sort of. The network is bringing back Total Request Live but in the form of Total Registration Live. The one-day special, set to air Tuesday, Sept. 27, exactly one day after the first presidential debate, will include appearances from Ty Dolla $ign, Rock The Vote spokeswoman Kendall Jenner, Joss Whedon, Fifth Harmony's Camila Cabello, Vic Mensa, Natalia Dyer, and actor and singer Mack Wilds and more.

Total Registration Live is an initiative by MTV that will encourage millennials to get out and vote in the upcoming election. The updated TRL special will focus on important issues such as racial injustice, national security, immigration, education and gender equality.

The one-night special will even be taped from the former TRL studios in New York City.

Instead of airing the top 10 music videos from the late '90s, MTV says "powerful profiles will spotlight what is at stake in the upcoming election through the eyes of three millennials taking individual action to change their communities, including 24-year old rape survivor and legislative advocate Amanda Nguyen, Yale freshman and undocumented immigrant Larissa Martinez and 22-year old founder of the Georgia Muslim Voter Project Aisha Yaqoob."

Total Registration Live will air Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 6 p.m. ET on MTV.
