The Big Bang Theory, Season 10

CBS

The gang's all here in the season 10 premiere of The Big Bang Theory. And we mean allllll here.

As Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) plan to renew their vows in the season opener, they'll be facing all manner of family drama thanks to the whopping six family members in attendance. Not only will returning guest stars Christine Baranski (Leonard's mom, Beverly), Laurie Metcalf (Sheldon's mom, Mary), Judd Hirsch (Leonard's dad, Alfred), and Keith Carradine (Penny's dad, Wyatt) be on hand, but Katey Sagal and Jack McBrayer will add to the insanity as Penny's anxiety-ridden mom Susan and drug-dealing brother Randall, respectively.

And CBS has just released the first look photos of the landmark episode.

In the premiere, the big day is made awkward for everyone thanks to Sheldon's mom and Leonard's dad having spent the previous night together. Of course, the debut of Penny's family drama doesn't help matters. "Penny's close with her dad," executive producer Steve Molaro told EW. "As we know, her brother Randall has been a bit of trouble over the years, selling drugs and being in and out of jail, and that's put a lot of stress on her mom. You will pick up on the tensions between her mother and her brother very quickly, and you get a glimpse of Penny and her dad being caught in the middle of that."

Though the episode is rich in guest stars (Breaking Bad alum Dean Norris also pops up as an Air Force rep interested in Leonard and Sheldon's quantum gyroscope), the 22 minute episode length (give or take a minute) means it's going to be limited screen time for all those visiting stars. But Molaro hopes to bring newbies Sagal and McBrayer back for another, less crowded episode. "Now that they are officially members of the Big Bang family," he told TVLine, "we would love to have them come back so we can service them with more time and energy than we could in the premiere."

The Big Bang Theory premieres Monday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
