ESC: Zimmermann

Victor Hugo/Patrick McMullan

Your go-to date-night makeup look could probably use a little refresh.

What better time to be inspired than at Fashion Week? Zimmermann's spring 2017 collection was '80s rock and roll inspired—the clothes were beautiful, donning lots and lots of lace. So when celebrity makeup artist Jodie Boland was asked to create a look equally as romantic as it was edgy, she did. Instead of using eyeliner on your top lash line (like you're used to), the pro turned her attention to the bottom, creating a winged-line along the lower half of the eye. That detail made for a powerful statement, so to balance out and soften the look, she left the face dewy and raw for a fresher, more delicate feel.

For the full tutorial (by the beauty guru herself) on your new favorite nightly makeup regime, as well as a glimpse at what it looks like be backstage before a show, watch the below video.
