Liam Hemsworth is throwing it back to where it all began.

It's been six years since the Australian actor graced the silver screen alongside pop queen Miley Cyrus. Nearly a decade later, the two are engaged to be married off-screen. In celebration of the traditional #ThrowbackThursday, Hemsworth paid tribute to the movie that introduced him to his real-life leading lady on Instagram with a blurry candid shot.

"Throwing it WAY back... what a 'blur.' #TBT" he captioned the post with a pun.

In the picture, Liam is clad only in swim trunks while a teenage Cyrus stands nearby, wearing a blue t-shirt and baggy cargo pants. If the ensemble is not enough of a marker of time gone by, take a look at the star's long, curly brunette hair—a far cry from the bright blond locks she's been sporting in years since.

After the film wrapped, their real-life love story kicked into full gear and the pair were engaged two years later. However, they famously never made it down the aisle the first time around after Miley and Liam called off their nuptials in 2013.

After a handful of relationships with other people, the two reunited and Miley started flaunting her gold-banded engagement ring again, confirming by the new year that their engagement was indeed back on.

"The ring is special because Miley and Liam worked on it together," a source told E! News at the time.

While their romantic road has been rocky, according to Liam's post, the past is a blur at this point. As for Miley, she never forgot about her teenage love.

"She feels like they could pick up right where they left off. Miley has never gotten over Liam and always hoped they would get back together," a source told E! News. "She doesn't know where it will go, but she definitely still loves him."

All together now: "When my world is falling apart...when there's no light to break up the dark...that's when I look at you..."
