The first look at Grey's Anatomy's new season is finally here, and things do not look good for Alex Karev.

When we last saw the tempermental doc, he was beating poor DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) to a bloody pulp over a massive misunderstanding regarding Jo (Camilla Luddington). (DeLuca was consoling her, but Alex believed they were hooking up.) Seemingly picking up from right where we left off, the race will be on to keep DeLuca alive—and to keep Alex (Justin Chambers) out of jail.

"You think no one's gonna realize this was you?" Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) asks her BFF with the noticeably bruised knuckles.

"You gonna turn me over?" he counters.

"You could go to jail," she impresses upon him.

It's a brief 13 seconds, but boy is it intense. "Loyalties will be tested," the promo warns. Gulp.

ABC has also released the official logline for the season premiere, entitled "Undo." Here's how they describe the big episode: "When one of Grey Sloan's own lands in the hospital, Bailey tries to figure out what happened while the rest of the doctors jump in to help. Meredith juggles huge secrets that affect her relationships with Alex and Maggie. While Richard helps Jo with a big decision, April and Catherine clash over the new baby."
