As the British mega-producer continues his search for talent on X Factor U.K., the judge experienced a little surprise in Saturday evening's brand-new episode on ITV.
In between hearing auditions and sharing his honest opinions, the proud dad received a special gift from girlfriend Lauren Silverman and their son Eric.
"You made a card?" Simon asked his growing boy who couldn't stop jumping up and down with excitement. "Have you turned into a bird?"
He continued, "You drew me a painting? Why are you trying to fly?"
All jokes aside, Simon's face couldn't help but light up as he read his present. And yes, his fellow judges including Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger couldn't get enough of the special visitor.
While his son is now two years old, Simon once admitted to E! News that he wasn't quite sure how he would do at fatherhood.
"I had no idea what it was going to feel like to be a dad and I was always nervous about babies," he shared with us before Eric turned one. "I didn't know what to do with them. But actually, when you see someone day by day becoming, you know, more smart and doing different things and recognizing you and now talking, I mean...it's an incredible feeling."
As to whether or not we have a future star on our hands, the America's Got Talent judge noticed that his child is already developing an appreciation for a good tune.
"He does actually love music," Simon shared. "He is addicted to The Jungle Book. I have now heard 'Bare Necessities' and 'I Want to Be Like You' probably 1,000 times this year." As the panel likes to say: The stage is yours…whenever you're ready.
