Watch: Jess Weixler on Shocking "The Good Wife" Finale

Remember The Good Wife's Robyn? Of course you do. She swooped in and delighted fans…only to disappear and never be heard from again. Good Wife co-creator Robert King has often lamented her absence and even said they were trying to get Jess Weixler back as Robyn before the series finale. It didn't happen.

"I really wanted to come back to just have one more Robyn adventure," Weixler told E! News at the premiere of Lifetime's Sister Cities.

The Good Wife wrapped up its seven-season run in May, but the story for some of the characters isn't over yet. Christine Baranski and Cush Jumbo are taking Diane Lockhart and Lucca Quinn over to CBS All Access, CBS's streaming platform, for a spinoff series set one year after the events of the finale. Might we see Weixler's Robyn back in the fold?

"In a heartbeat," she said. "Christine Baranski, she has been one of my idols from the beginning…I know it's so silly, but when I saw her in The Grinch and all these different things growing up, I was like who is incredible force? I hope I have a moment to be on her team."

Watch the video up top to hear Weixler's thoughts on the controversial Good Wife series finale. Weixler joins another Good Wife fan-favorite in voicing her desire to return to the fold.

"Well, you know as actors these things, sadly, are not in our hands to decide," Carrie Preston told E! News' Erin Lim at the Television Academy's Performers Peer Group Celebration. "But if they were to call, of course I'll be there."

Sister Cities premieres Saturday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. on Lifetime.
