Grey's Anatomy Season 12 Bloopers Show the Lighter Side of Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital

Exclusive: There are flubbed lines galore in this hysterical gag reel from the upcoming season 12 DVD release

Things tend to get pretty heavy around the halls of Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital, especially when Meredith Grey is on duty. (Seriously, there may be no single character on TV who's experienced more calamity than Mer.) But behind the scenes at Grey's Anatomy, things couldn't be lighter. Especially when Ellen Pompeo and her co-stars mangle one of their medical jargon-heavy lines.

In this gag reel from the season 12 DVD release, exclusive to E! News, the cast of the long-running ABC soap can barely keep it together. Whether it's Pompeo turning some medical term into "artichoke dip," Justin Chambers making a request for "two lobers" (whatever that is), or Samantha Sloyan (the McDreamy-killing Dr. Blake) spectacularly flubbing nearly every word in her line, this gag reel is solid gold. Seriously, we might need to check in to Grey-Sloan because we've laughed ourselves into stitches.

With just a few short weeks until the show returns for a landmark 13th season, this little taste of Grey's also acts as one final moment for fans to catch a glimpse of Sara Ramirez in action as Dr. Callie Torres. The fan-fave revealed plans to step away from the series shortly after the season 12 finale finished airing, revealing on Twitter that her time on the show was up.

"I'm deeply grateful to have spent the last 10 years with my family at Grey's Anatomy & ABC but for now I'm taking some welcome time off," Ramirez said in a statement. "Shonda's been so incredible to work for and we will definitely continue our conversations! I send my Love to Ellen, the rest of the cast & crew, and I look forward to always being a part of the Shondaland family!"

Grey's Anatomy: The Complete 12th Season hits shelves on Tuesday, Aug. 30, while season 13 premieres on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
