First, the Final Five dominated the Olympics. Now, that the decorated athletes have returned home to the United States, they're busy taking over the music world one red carpet step at a time.
Fresh off their gold wins in Rio, Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez and the other famous faces of the "Final Five" Olympic gymnastics team arrived at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards at Madison Square Garden ready for a show.
Dressed in equally gold-worthy ensembles, including teal, navy, nude and red beaded cocktail dresses, the ladies officially slayed their first white carpet appearance. The athletes are slated to present an award tonight along with Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps.

Unfortunately, the team was noticeably one gymnast short. While Madison Kocian, Aly Raisman, Hernandez and Biles smiled for photographers, Gabby Douglas was missing from the carpet due to an unexpected hospital visit. Fortunately, like the trooper that she is, the 20-year-old is already back home and recuperating.
"Out of the hospital & resting comfortably! #FinalFive so sad I can't be with u all to present tonite @MTV thank u xoxo #VMAs #myview," she explained on Instagram.
While one teammate had to skip the evening in the Big Apple, 19-year-old Biles certainly did not want to miss the chance to meet one particular star—Kim Kardashian.
"I have planned tomorrow at the VMAs to meet Kim Kardashian, and then I'm gonna send her daughter [North West] some [leotards]," Biles said during a press conference Saturday.
Can we have a leotard, too?
