One thing you won't see during tonight's MTV Video Music Awards? Miley Cyrus.
And that's quite alright, because to be completely honest, we're still recovering from her straight up bonkers hosting stint during last year's VMAs. In fact, MTV chose to forego the traditional host feature all together this time around, further proving that no one could even come close to topping Cyrus' onstage antics.
The pop singer took to Instagram ahead of one of music's biggest evenings to explain why she wouldn't be gracing Madison Square Garden with her presence, writing, "Sorry I can't make it to the VMAzzz I am toooo busy at home doing yoga & making out w my dogs."
LOL. After all, that's just Miley being Miley.
The "Wrecking Ball" songstress has become somewhat of an unforgettable mainstay across the award show's history, notably with her eyebrow-raising onstage twerkathon alongside Robin Thicke in 2013.
The following year, Cyrus grabbed headlines once again when she took the opportunity to raise awareness about a cause near to her heart by bringing a homeless 22-year-old as her date. Jesse accepted Miley's Video of the Year Award on her behalf, sharing an emotional story about his experience as a homeless youth.
Here's to wishing Miley a most relaxing Sunday with her beloved pooches and warrior poses!
