Adrienne Bailon is ready to get hitched!

The Real star recently got engaged to Israel Houghton in a fairytale-worthy French proposal, and now Adrienne is opening up about the special moments leading up to her man getting down on one knee. Appearing on Hollywood Today Live, Bailon said the proposal came as a complete shocker during the couple's European vacation.

As it turns out, the 32-year-old was under the impression that her parents' anniversary was the reason they returned to Paris after traveling through Greece, saying, "I didn't know there was some trickery going on... It was just honestly magical. My parents being there was so special to me."

She added, "[My parents] were actually celebrating 20 years of marriage and I thought originally we were just celebrating them. Obviously when the surprise happened I was super excited, super happy."

As for how Adrienne and the singer-songwriter knew they were meant to be together, Bailon says it all started with a friendship.

"We were friends for three years before [dating.] I think that makes a difference," she admitted, later continuing, "We never thought we'd end up together."

Unlike most relationships that Adrienne says have "ulterior motives," she explained the duo clicked because there wasn't any pressure to make things work. "It was like, 'Hey, what's up? And we'd hang out with a bunch of friends and I would say ridiculous things out of my mouth that I probably wouldn't say if I really liked him. And then he got to know the real me and I love that."

Adrienne also attributes her age to knowing Israel was the one.

"I think when you're younger you have to date around to see what you like, what you don't," she said. "There are different things from different people that I dated that I'm like, 'I love this quality. I don't love this quality so much.'"

And if you're hoping if her co-hosts on The Real will be pitching in on wedding ideas, you're in luck! Adrienne dished that Jeannie Mai, Tamera Mowry and Loni Love will all play a part in planning her upcoming nuptials.
