Instagram Does Snapchat know about this? In another move to rip them off, Instagram has gone and rolled out Event Channels today. The feature is a new channel which can be found in the Explore section. Couldn't make it to see Beyoncé? No prob. Insta will grab all the best videos from shows, sporting events and beyond, and plop them in the channel for your viewing pleasure. Watch a sold-out Adele show from the comfort of your bed. Honestly, what more could you want?
Instagram's blog also notes, "Like the rest of Explore, this new channel is personalized for you and highlights events you might like." It's only out in the states at the moment but should be available everywhere in the near future. Loves it.
Let's get one thing straight, though. Snapchat is still cool, and we love both platforms equally. They each have their own special qualities that make them unique, even though Instagram keeps ripping off Snap. Maybe having two outlets to watch epic Olympic videos without actually having to be in Rio isn't so bad after all. The more, the merrier, right? Your move, Facebook.
