More photos have emerged that give insight into Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's rocky relationship ahead of their divorce.

A source tells E! News the pair got into an argument while Depp was filming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in Australia in March of 2015. During the argument, we're told the actor went into a "rampage" of smashing bottle, during which he accidentally cut off the tip of his finger. He then dipped the chunk he cut off into paint and used the mixture of blood, paint and flesh to write a dark message to Amber on a mirror in the villa where they were staying.

"Amber was very scared and traumatized," the insider said.

Photos of Depp's injury, which the insider tells us will be part of Heard's testimony, were published on TMZ Monday.

The photos show the message, which reads "Starring Billy Bob" and "Easy Amber."

According to TMZ, Depp accused Heard of sleeping with Billy Bob Thornton while they worked together on their film London Fields. Our insider also confirms the argument was caused because he believed she had been cheating on him.

Paparazzi caught photos of the actor with his hand bandaged up, and reports surfaced that the injury caused a halt in filming, forcing him to fly back to the United States to receive medical treatment.

The new photos come on the heels of the latest bout of controversy surrounding the former couple: a video that was leaked over the weekend showing Depp getting heated and angry in their kitchen.

Heard adamantly denies having any involvement in the video being leaked.

"I am not responsible for the release of the video. It was not what I wanted and I am doing what I can to force the media to take it off the internet," she said in a statement to E! News. "I underestimated the toll that this difficult few months have taken on me, emotionally and physically, and the efforts made by the media to intimidate and discredit me."

She continued, "It is for that reason, and my desire to make the healthiest choice for myself, and hopefully for Johnny, that I am attempting to resolve this matter in the most private way possible."

As for Heard's upcoming domestic violence hearing, a judge recently postponed the court date until Wednesday to allow more time for both parties to complete their depositions.

If the case ends up going to trial, E! News has learned that Amber's witness list includes seven people, like close friends Raquel Pennington and iO Tillet Wright. In comparison, Johnny's list consists of 23 people including his ex Vanessa Paradis.
