The Olsen Twins Get Summer Makeovers: More Stars Who Changed Their Hair Just in Time for the Heat

When the temperature changes, so does the hair color—just look at this group of starlets as proof. 

After Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen recently posed for their label's Instagram account, fans noticed something looked a touch different for the two actresses-turned-fashionistas. Their signature smirks were still in sync, the clothing was on point as always...and then we figured it out. The former child stars had lightened their tresses right in the nick of summer. While they typically flaunt honey or red-tinted hues, the sisters returned to the platinum blond locks of their teenage years for refreshing looks fitting of summertime. 

However, the 30-year-old twins are just two in a handful of stars who have kicked their hair up a notch just in time for the warmer months. After all, with all of those patio dinners, outdoor concerts, and rooftop parties, there are plenty of opportunities to show off a fierce new look under the moonlight of a summer night. 

Brie Larson debuted her glamorous red-tinted hair in recent months, most notably during her appearances during the 2016 Comic Con. Formerly a blond and brunette, it's clear there's no hair color the Oscar winner can't pull off. 

No stranger to switching it up, Christina Aguilera has experimented with virtually every beauty look in the book—and then made up a few of her own. The Voice judge traded in her frequent platinum locks for auburn tresses styled into retro waves. The choice is arguably her best yet. 

Guess Selena Gomez was sick of that same old...'do. In the midst of her Revival World Tour, the 24-year-old songstress had some fringe chopped into her signature brunette mane. A little more edgy, even more fabulous. 

Gomez wasn't the only famous lady in the market for a bangin' new look. Grammy nominee Ariana Grande unveiled her surprise set of bangs on Instagram—a fun change to her now-famous ponytail. 

"Change. feelin free. happy. Banginnnnnnn," she wrote on Twitter after revealing the new look. "Life is wild and change is f--king fantastic. (Not just talking bangs)."
