If you're having a hard time wrapping your head around Flashpoint, a.k.a. the entirely new timeline Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) has created for The Flash season three, allow the cast of the show to explain it to you—if they can.

Star Jesse L. Martin told E! News at Comic-Con, "I don't even know what it is and I'm involved!"

But he tried his best anyway. "It involves our speedster here, Barry, going back in time to save his mom and coming back to the present and everything has changed," he explained. "There's a whole comic section called Flashpoint that deals with this time cut/change situation."

See? That wasn't so bad. "So I know a little more than I thought," he confessed.

Barry isn't the greatest at coping with the consequences of his actions, but when we catch up with him at the beginning of season three he's pretty happy.

"When we pick up Flashpoint he's been in this new timeline for a few months and he's in a complete state of bliss that both of his parents are alive," Gustin told us. "This guy's running around as Kid Flash, he doesn't know it's Wally at this point, but he's completely fine to take a backseat and let there be another Flash and just enjoy his family. So he's not really coping at all—he's in denial."

Flaspoint is also the reason the show has added Tom Felton as a new series regular. Felton plays CSI Julian Dorn, who's basically Barry's work rival.

"He's definitely treading on the toes of Barry's expertise," Felton said. "I don't think he's used to having a mind as similar in the forensic department who's as quick as he is."

At this point in time, their relationship could go either way: BFFs or mortal enemies. But Felton, a.k.a. Harry Potter's Draco Malfoy, confesses that his character on The Flash is probably also a Slytherin. Does that mean he and Barry could have a Malfoy/Potter-esque relationship?

Press play on the video above to find out what else the cast revealed about the upcoming Flashpoint storyline. The Flash returns for season three on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
