Your new TV obsession has almost arrived.
Starz just released the first trailer for its upcoming series American Gods during the show's San Diego Comic Con panel, and damn does it look good.
The show, which is based on Neil Gaiman's bestselling book, tells the story of an ex-con named Shadow (Ricky Whittle) who gets mixed up in a war between the old gods (Odin, for example) and the new gods of technology and modern life.
If you've read the book, everything in the trailer above will excite you. If you haven't read the book, you've got no idea what you're in for, but you should be so excited anyway. This is going to be good.
Check out the trailer above!
The show stars Ricky Whittle, Emily Browning, Ian McShane, Pablo Schreiber, Gillian Anderson, Orlando Jones, and many more, and comes from executive producers Bryan Fuller and Michael Green.
American Gods debuts on Starz in 2017.
