Amber Heard and Johnny Depp may be over, but the same can't be said for her relationship with his daughter.

A source tells E! News that they believe Heard will "continue to have a relationship" with Depp's 16-year-old daughter, Lily-Rose Depp, despite her decision to divorce the actor.

"Amber and Lily Rose developed a strong bond early on," the source tells us. "Amber and Lily-Rose spent many days together without Johnny; going shopping, going out to eat, the movies. They had their 'girl' time. It was more of a 'cool older sister' than a mom figure for Lily-Rose and Amber was totally OK with that."

"It was a loving environment," a second source tells us.

In fact, Heard built a relationship with a lot of Depp's family members, including his mother, who recently passed away. "Amber was close with Betty Sue, they had a good relationship," a different source tells E! News, while another insider explains that Heard's timing with the filing had nothing to do with her passing.

The source tells us no one knew when his mother would pass away, because she had been sick for over a year. "It was a bad battle," they tell E! News, adding that Amber had visited Johnny's mother in the hospital on several occasions.

And although it was a "loving environment" with the children, an insider explains to E! News that the same could not be said about their marital relationship. "Amber fought to make things work. She couldn't take it anymore and decided to leave. It was not a healthy environment."

Heard attended the 2016 Met Gala alone after Depp decided not to go last minute. "He was not reliable at all. He cancelled things at the last minute all the time," a source tells E! News. "It was a scary environment to be in."

The actress asked for spousal support in the court documents, but the source explains she's not trying to make money off of the divorce, she was just making the standard requests as she was told to do. "She is not after his money. She is not looking to cash in from this."

Furthermore, the source tells E! News, "This was not an easy decision for her. She loved him but she had to leave."
