The television personality stopped to chat with E! News' Catt Sadler while walking the red carpet alongside hubby Carmelo Anthony, dishing on exactly what goes into looking that good for one of fashion's biggest nights.
As for preparation, the 36-year-old admitted she "definitely took two Excedrin migraines before I got here" and stocked up on mints to keep her breath smelling fresh as well as blotting papers to keep her dewy skin intact.
Perhaps her most surprising admission, though? Anthony revealed she "definitely can't breathe" and "definitely can't go to the bathroom" all thanks to that extremely sexy look.
But as they say, beauty is pain. And there's no denying Anthony starting her red carpet prep at 5 a.m. was well worth it—just look at her!
Lala flaunted her killer curves in a dramatic, plunging gown by Nicolas Jebran decked out with intricate beading and powerful shoulder accents. She kept her hair sleek with a slicked back up-do, turning up the heat with a sizzling makeup look to complement her ensemble.
Carmelo, looking dapper in a crisp black and white tux, definitely let his leading lady take the spotlight Monday evening. As Lala put it, "He doesn't require much."
