Watch: Selena Gomez Says "People Have Tried to Tear Her Down"

Selena Gomez is on a high right now, and she has every right to be.

Just a few days away from kicking off her Revival tour in Vegas, her first tour since 2013, the 23-year-old is beaming with strength and confidence.

Sitting down to chat with E! NewsWill Marfuggi, the "Share a Coke and a Song" campaign star opens up about learning to be more mindful and understanding that her life is like a rollercoaster—and she actually likes it that way.

"You're not meant to say, ‘Once I get there, I'll have it all.' I think that's the biggest lesson I've needed to learn, is how to be present in the moment, and to know that I'm always going to strive for something," the "Hands to Myself" singer admits when discussing her goals for the future.

The pop star has been getting more comfortable in her skin, and after all these years in show biz, she's well aware of how she's paid her dues along the way.

"I think I've been doing this long enough to realize that no matter what people perceive of me, I always shine through at the end of the day. So I've had a lot of people try to tear me down, but I'm here," Gomez explains.

"I've always been myself…I've been graceful, and I've tried to handle myself with as much class, and it's only because I know how hard I work and I'm not gonna let any of that get to me."

Selena's Revival tour will be opened by her friend Joe Jonas and his band DNCE and starts its North America leg in the U.S. on May 6th and will travel through Asia and Europe until December 18th.
