Adam Levine thinks Behati Prinsloo's pregnancy craving is "random," but it's actually not that uncommon. The Maroon 5 frontman and Voice coach, who said he's "super excited" to become a first-time father, stopped by NBC's The Tonight Show Thursday and opened up about his wife's diet. "She's eating a lot of watermelon. A lot of watermelon," he told Jimmy Fallon. "Because, you know, they get random cravings for stuff and it's just like, so much watermelon!" While the fruit is "delicious," Prinsloo is also big into ice cream at the moment. In a show of solidarity, her husband has been eating for two, too. "I eat a lot of stuff," Levine said. "A lot of stuff."

Levine and Prinsloo have long wanted to become parents.

"It's always been part of the plan," he said.

Earlier his week, Levine told E! News' Sibley Scoles that he will shower Prinsloo with love and attention this Mother's Day—even though "the baby's not out" yet. "It's awesome. God, I'm going to be a dad. S--t. I'm excited," he said. "I'm going to be a f--king dad. S--t. I'm going to spoil her."

As E! News exclusively reported, Levine and Prinsloo are expecting a girl.

Back on The Tonight Show, Levine also discussed The Voice's newest coaches, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys, as well as his friendly rival and longtime companion, Blake Shelton. "I'm super excited. I can't wait. It's going to be great, and we've had such great people on the show," he said, referring to coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Shakira, Gwen Stefani, Usher and Pharrell Williams. "Blake and I have been there forever—for 100,000 years it seems like." As for Shelton, he joked, "I don't like him at all. Actually, it's pretty alarming how little in common I have with Blake Shelton." With Cyrus and Keys about to join the mix, "It's going to be good to have some more feminine energy on the show. Two girls, two boys—it's going to be great."

(E! and NBC are both members of the NBCUniversal family.)
