Ashley Tisdale turned heads at the premiere of the film Mother's Day in Hollywood Wednesday due to what appeared to be a wardrobe malfunction.
The 30-year-old High School Musical alum went braless and wore nipple pasties, which were visible under her sheer black top. Tisdale did not appear to be bothered by the apparent fashion faux pas, sporting a sultry expression as she posed for photos on the red carpet. She paired the look with a black leather jacket, high waist boot-cut black pants, matching sandals and a thick choker and large hoop earrings. She wore her dark blond hair styled in a top bun.
She later addressed the issue and named the brand of her nipple pasties on her Instagram page.
"When you're feelin yourself but your Gel Petals wanna steal the show #dying #notmynipples #freethenipplecover," Tisdale wrote.
The actress also revealed she did her own makeup.
"When you do your own makeup for a premiere // using the Beach Goddess palette, cream cheek in Coco, and gloss in Tan Lines. #IlluminateByAshley #comingsoon," she wrote.
Tisdale is launching her own branded beauty line this spring.
"I love the beachy, bronzy look with a good cat-eye," the actress told E! News in February, adding, "Coral, peachy lip glosses are perfect for the day, which is why I added those colors to my Illuminate collection. When I'm short on time and in a rush, I'll add a quick touch of mascara and a bold dark lip, which easily sophisticates a wardrobe."
Tisdale does not appear in Mother's Day, an ensemble comedy film. Cast members include Jennifer Aniston, 47, Julia Roberts, 48, Kate Hudson, 36, Jason Sudeikis, 40, Shay Mitchell, 29, Sarah Chalke, 39, Jon Lovitz, 58, and Britt Robertson, 25. The movie is set for release on April 29, more than a week before the holiday.
