Sandy Cohen speaks!
The O.C. fans have been impatiently waiting for one of the iconic teen drama's stars to appear on Dancing With the Stars to support Mischa Barton this season, and they're finally getting their wish as Peter Gallagher (aka Sandy Cohen aka one of the best TV dads in the history of TV dads) is making a special appearance and E! News has your exclusive first look.
For tonight's show, Mischa and partner Artem Chigvintsev are performing a Samba to Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA" as part of the ABC hit's "Most Memorable Year" theme. Mischa's pick? 2008, as she says it was "a year of change and putting myself in a better place."
And though she had exited the series in 2006, Gallagher clearly still has a lot of affection and admiration for Mischa over ten years later.
"I have an idea of the journey she's been on and some of the challenges she's had, and just the fact that she is still showing up does my heart good," Gallagher says in our exclusive video above. "In fact, in my book, she's already succeeded."
No, we're not crying! A branch just fell in our eye while we were chopping an onion, OK?!
And Gallagher isn't the only O.C. star who is proud of Barton's journey on DWTS so far: Rachel Bilson recently showed her support on Instagram, writing, "Got to give it up for@mischamazing takes balls. Get it guurrrrlll!" Marissa and Summer, still going strong all these years later!
DWTS airs tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC.
