More than a year after their split, Rosie O'Donnell and Michelle Rounds have finalized their divorce

The ladies' lawyers will meet at a Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday to submit the final paperwork and make the divorce official. A rep for O'Donnell confirms to E! News, "The divorce is finalized, this is just a formality for the paperwork to be submitted."

The former View host originally filed for divorce from Rounds in February 2015—though the pair had broken up before that, in November 2014—citing an "an irretrievably broken relationship" as the reason for the split.

They reached a settlement nearly eight months later, in October 2015. "There's peace in the Middle East," O'Donnell joked at the time. "It's done. We've settled. We're both very happy about the outcome," she added.

Meanwhile, O'Donnell and Rounds began dating in 2011. The two married in a private ceremony in New York on June 9, 2012, and seven months later, they announced they were adopting their daughter, Dakota.

It's been a rough couple of years for O'Donnell. Not only did she suffer a heart attack in 2012, but she also said goodbye to The View just days after announcing her breakup from Rounds.

She also spent a good portion of 2015 battling with her now estranged eldest daughter, Chelsea, after she ran away and then publicly bashed the comedienne. O'Donnell's rep called the situation "heartbreaking on every level," and the comic herself addressed it during a stand-up show in October.

"My daughter has been in the news. It's been in the news, but it's not news to the family. It's been a decade long," she told the crowd, adding, "As Mom, my wish is for love and peace and wait until it's done."
