We ain't afraid of no ghost. We are, however, very afraid of how quickly and deeply we fell in love with Kate McKinnon's character after watching the first official Ghostbusters trailer.
When you have a pack of hilarious ladies like Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Leslie Jones headlining your movie, it's not an easy feat to steal the show. But McKinnon managed to do it, and she did it with the flair and style we will now associate with her character Dr. Jillian Holtzmann.
When the trailer dropped, the folks of the Internet did two things. First, they gently reminded those who think this 90 seconds of footage destroys the original that Ghostbusters I and II is still a movie you can watch whenever you want and Paul Feig didn't actually burn every copy to make this film.
And second, everyone collectively lost their s--t over Dr. Holtzmann.
You know you rewatched the trailer because of her. And there was so much other great stuff to appreciate! Like the remix of the Ghostbusters theme. And Chris Hemsworth just being Chris Hemsworth-y. And all those really spooky-cool ghosts. How in the hell did Dr. Holtzmann just swoop in there and kill the game?

And look how damn excited she is to be getting a hearse! Dr. Yates sees this as a problem. Holtzmann does not.
Sure, it's a tense, scary moment. But someone has to put on a stupid wig and hat to scare her partner. Who else but Holtzmann?!
