Well, at least he's there?
A new promo for this week's episode of Saturday Night Live featuring Kanye West has arrived and the rapper looks—how should we put this—less than enthused about having to stand by as this week's host Melissa McCarthy mugs with SNL cast member Taran Killam.
There's something slightly eerie about the way he just stands there, staring straight into the camera, as if he's peering into our souls. Does he want our help? Is he there against his will? We may never know.
West and SNL have quite a long history, dating as far back as 2005. This weekend's appearance as musical guest will be his seventh time performing in Studio 8H. He also performed and appeared in a Wayne's World sketch during NBC's retrospective special SNL 40 last year. The episode will cap a whirlwind week for West, who premiered his new album The Life of Pablo and his new collection Yeezy Season 3 at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, seemingly reigniting his feud with Taylor Swift in the process. Might that bit of drama make its way into a sketch tomorrow night? We can only hope.
The episode of the long-running sketch series also marks McCarthy's fourth time as host.
