Slip on a mood ring and throw up a peace sign because Ellie Goulding is bringing back the ‘70s!

Sure, all attention has been on '90s trends recently, but it's time to give your chokers and velvet dresses a break. The groovy chick was channeling her inner Donna Pinciotti when she stepped out in London last Tuesday wearing this 1970s-inspired getup. In lieu of all the festivals you're attending to come April, this is one look you're going to want to nail down.

If you're thinking flared jeans are too ‘70s for your closet, you haven't been styling them properly. For starters, they make your legs look incredible (read: long and lean) and that makes them the ultimate choice for everyday wear. At the office, top a pair of dark washed flares with a button down and blazer. When it's the weekend, a pair of light washed denim flares and any simple white tee is really the perfect look.

When it comes to your jacket, try on a bunch of styles and find what looks best on you. If you have a long torso, opt for something with a little more length and if you're petite, something cropped is going to look amazing on you.

Now, all you're missing are the platforms! You can theme these up or theme them down as much as you want. If you're really going for it a wood heel lends itself well to the style, but if you're leaning more towards a modern adaption, a cool ankle boot might be your best choice.
