 Joebe? Phoey?

Alas, a mashed-up couple moniker was never picked for Joey (Matt LeBlanc) and Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) on NBC's Friends as the two pals never got together. But did it almost happen?!

In an interview with People, fans finally got to learn why a Joey and Phoebe hook up never ended up happening during the iconic sitcom's 10-season run.

"Towards the end we actually pitched the idea that Joey and Phoebe had been having casual sex the entire time," Matt LeBlanc revealed in the interview. "We'd go back and shoot all the historical scenes and just before a moment that everyone recognizes, there's Joey and Phoebe coming out of a broom closet together. But they were like, ‘Nah.'"

And there you have it.

At least we will get to see LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow on-screen together again soon.

The duo along with Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer are set to reunite on NBC in February when they all take part in a new special honoring legendary sitcom director James Burrows. But they might not all appear at the same time, as NBC's Robert Greenblatt told reporters, "I'm not sure we can logistically pull that off."

So when's the last time all six Friends were in the same room? "All six of us had dinner recently for Courteney Cox's birthday," LeBlanc revealed. "We had so much fun. It felt like no time had passed, but it'd been almost 12 years."
